1.     The Secretary introduced David Barlow who, as vicar, is ex officio Chairman of the Association. He, however, said that he did not wish to chair his first meeting and the Secretary was elected chairman of this meeting.

He summarised the minutes of the previous meeting (17 January 2008) which were approved and signed. Under matters arising the Secretary explained that as management of the Ashe Park shoot has changed and the gamekeeper is now employed elsewhere he did not think he would be able to get the pheasants for future pensioners’ parcels.

2.     The Treasurer presented his report. The decisions taken at the January meeting about allocations for 2009 were re-affirmed. There is sufficient in the kitty to put on a Fair in the summer of 2009 (scheduled for 28 June). The Treasurer’s report was accepted.

3.     The Secretary reported that Peter Walsh has agreed to chair the Country Fair again this year and plans are well under way. The plan is not to charge for car parking since it is felt that returns are diminishing and charging increasingly causes ill-feeling. This will put extra pressure on advance sales of raffle tickets.

4.     The Secretary and Treasurer were prevailed upon to remain in office for another year.

Any Other Business:  There was none.
