4. Welcome: Nigel Plowright, Patricia Collins
5. Welcome leaflet. All to feedback to Robbie Maitland on content. For distribution: 1st new copy to go out with Parish Magazine; then personal distribution to new people by PCC members. Areas split up: GC for North Oakley, White Lane, TA for Ibworth, CD for Feemantle Farm. Hannington spilt between other PCC members. Please let David know of any new people in the Parish.
6. Lessons. David to feedback to Ray on rules for lessons. MK suggested we should have a list of all involved on a Sunday: lay reader, organist, lesson reader. RM to investigate.
7. Walks. Rogation walk to be held in the spring, with no further ‘harvest’ walk to be arranged.
8. Harvest Festival. Date will be 5th October. Plan was for a lunch this year with the service at 1100. Families to be encouraged to attend. David to confirm service timings with Wolverton. MH to coordinate lunch, with support from CD and PC. MH will arrange posters, parish magazine, email.
9. Christmas Services. The priority is to be a family orientated service at 0930 on Christmas Day, with communion. CD to ask W. Shipton about supporting organ playing. Benefice service to be held on 28th Dec.
10. Family services. The aim is to hold one family service each month somewhere in the Benefice. This was supported by the PCC and David will consult other PCC’s.
11. Wolverton Rectory Parish Room. A table is required. GC to investigate as he may have a suitable table. WK to ask for an email to be sent round to ask if anyone has a 7 foot table.
12. Representation.
· Deanery Synod. GC attends Deanery Finance meetings. Mary Brown to act as representative on Synod.
· Benefice Committee. For the moment benefice consultation will be kept to church wardens.
13. Maintenance – shingles on church spire. These are generally in good order. We should undertake required repairs in the next few years, but not this year.
14. Report: Friends of All Saints. DB keen to encourage similar schemes in other parishes, as it provides sense of ownership and support to the church from non-church goers. GC to investigate a life membership fee. Friends will consider supporting projects that the PCC suggest. Only 3 members of PCC are Friends, GC encouraged others to join.
15. Treasurer’s Report. Finances in good order. Another £500 gift aid required. Decision taken to raise organist fee to £25 per visit. AB to communicate to organists.
16. Matters Arising.
· Update on Bells project. Faculty application is in progress with no problems foreseen. The aim is to start work in November. An informal sub-committee has been formed to guide the project, but the architect will run the project. Project cost is £61,000. Current shortfall is c.£16,000, but some grants are outstanding. We will have c. 70% grant funding. The final shortfall to come from the School House fund as previously agreed by the PCC. Parish volunteers for bell ringing to start building experience from the autumn. GC has names and will follow up with a plan.
· Parish Share. Meeting in October at Deanery. DB will investigate on progress.
· Churchyard autumn tidy. Waste from grave digging to be redistributed to ‘holes’ in the village area. Current pile under the yew tree to be moved during autumn tidy. WK will contact Tim May nearer the time to borrow a trailer. Autumn Tidy to be Saturday 8th November
17. AOB.
· It was agreed that Judith Royle should be invited to join the PCC. GC will invite Judith.
18. Next meeting. Tuesday 21st October 2000 hrs. Location at Wolverton Rectory, tbc.
